QUINN

When my father died in 2016, he had left an inheritance to his children and his grandchildren. My son died 6 weeks later, leaving this money behind and presenting me with an opportunity – to create something new, something that we all would be proud of.

In looking at Quinn’s life, our close relationship, a couple things stood out the most. He had an incredibly strong faith and dedication to his church. He was a devoted volunteer, helping whenever they needed it. Becoming the very fabric of the community, whom he referred to as family.  He had gone on two Mission Trips within the U.S. and had dreams of going to others outside of the U.S. but was never able to. Travel to those areas was a challenge for him, and he died before he was able to go. So, this, allows his dream to live on.

Medical Expenses, and all that goes into caring for oneself after a transplant can be a lot, especially for someone in school, working and paying rent.

For the caregiver, it is complicated and impacting every area of your life. No one should have to go through this alone, or give up their jobs, careers to care for a loved one. It happens. More often than we know.

In looking at my Father’s life and what was important to him, was family, faith and education. He was an incredible businessman and generous benefactor for numerous education scholarships.

He was also very active in medicine and health care.

There are no medical scholarships, for treatment or expenses to those patients who experience this life advancement as more complicated. Medicine too, was always a love of my father, as he led and grew a Health System, taking some of the things from Quinn and My experience to his own work.
